Web / Graphic Designer
Ability Commerce in Delray Beach is looking for a web/graphic designer with an eye for the Web to join our Web/Graphics Department. Position Responsibilities: Develop web applications and components Design and develop web pages, graphics, and multimedia Develops in a clean, well structured, and easily maintainable format Efficiently works as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes Ability to write, understand and use clean validated HTML, XSLT, CSS, jQuery, and some JavaScript in the creation of web pages for new and existing clients. Ability to understand and willingness to work with and learn additional programming to help maintain current client’s websites. Ability to demonstrate artistic creation of promotional banners, both static and animated, buttons, logos and various other graphics that help represent the client ideas efficiently and effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills, detail consciousness and the ability to function quickly in an ever-changing environment are musts. Team player capable of accepting and implementing critical feedback, as well as contributing critical input to peers. Researching and utilizing SEO best practices as it relates to web design Operates effectively as a member of the development team. Required Skills: Ability to write, understand and use HTML coding, HTML versions, browser differences, page layout, and design elements in the creation of web pages Practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XSLT, jQuery, graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite), multimedia creation with Flash, ActionScript, (Macromedia Studio) Some experience in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, XML Strong communication and organizational skills, detail consciousness and the ability to function quickly in an ever-changing environment are musts Team player capable of accepting and implementing critical feedback, as well as contributing critical input to peers Excellent design skills and familiarity with the principles of graphic and web design Knowledge of, and experience in, designing for web standards and understanding when exceptions are required Personal Characteristics: Able to work under tight deadlines and on multiple projects at once Strong interest and aptitude in web technologies Ability to take initiative and work independently or as a team Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments Education/Experience: Degree in Web Design or relevant experience At least 5 years practical experience in web/graphic design Job Details/Benefit Package: This is a full-time in house position located in Delray Beach, FL.
